spring plus size fashion roundup | brand new must buys to level up your spring wardrobe

I just got back from a trip to Disney World and have a major backlog of projects. So naturally, I just spent the last two hours surveying all my fav plus size retailers to share my favs from this season… because I love to live in a perpetual state of anxiety and procrastination.

But in all seriousness, I actually needed to do a spring roundup as I have several shoots, events, and projects looming that require styling, so I figured why not kill two birds with one stone and compile my favs in a big spring mashup of what to buy stat. So here is what I am swooning over right now on the web, with a focus on dresses, swim, skirts and blouses because spring is in full bloom!

Swim

I adore this suit from Mod Cloth, which according to the website will be available soon in a size XS to 4X. Definitely feeling the baby blue color palette this April. Do note that the $45 bottoms and $49 top are sold separately, which always annoys me but I’ll forgive them because it’s so darn cute.

You all saw me rock several of the Swimsuits for All x GabiFresh line last year across YouTube and Instagram and I am loving this season’s recent vintage-inspired drop. The whole line feels like Barbie meets James Bond and I’m living for it. This color blocked suit is currently on sale for $76.50, which is a steal given the quality, structure, and support that her lines always deliver. I have loved every suit from previous collections and know you won’t be disappointed here. The suits run from size 10 to 26, but be sure to size up and use your measurements because the line is notorious for running small. The Blondie and Platinum High Waist suits are also two favs that will be in my shopping cart soon.

This structured one piece from Torrid feels like it could take a seat with Gabi’s collection this season, which is probably why I love it so much. It’s very very similar to Chromat’s X Bustier suit found at 11 Honoré as well, but Torrid takes the win on this one for the sheer reason that it’s available up to size 30 #necessary. We’ve seen piping suits like this for years, but for some reason I’m extra diggin the trend right now and always love the quality of Torrid’s swimwear. Snag it on sale right now in sizes 14-30 for $69 down from $98.90.

I know, I know, I’m clearly in a mood but I took this suit with me to Costa Rica last month and you guys: THIS ONE IS A WINNER. Unique Vintage has been one of my favorite brands for years and it’s because the quality is phenomenal, and I’m all about quality especially when it comes to swim! It comes in sizes XS to 4X for $78 and will leave you feeling like a 1960s dolce vita Italian bombshell at the pool, especially when paired with some oversized cat eye sunnies and a dose of sass– I speak from experience.

If you’re more in the mood for color this season, don’t miss Unique Vintage Bow Dee Dee two-piece and Chromat’s Red X Bustier Suit from 11 Honoré, which are currently on my most wanted list. The latter has a similar structure and design as the one-pieces listed here.

Dresses

I actually bought this dress last night because I’m always a sucker for pin stripes and love the off the shoulder detail and the price point! Grab it on sale right now for $19 in sizes 12-20. I gotta say, Boohoo is quickly filling up space in my closet.

This dress is too adorable with the little polka dot detail I almost missed on a first glance. I bought it, especially given that right now it’s 40% off at $39 and available in sizes 10-30!

Everything about this dress makes me happy, including the mini polka dots, and delicate draped ruffle sleeves. It made it’s way into my shopping cart last night and I cannot wait for it to arrive and wear to all my spring flings. Eloquii definitely has an affection for red and white this season, which you’ll see in the three dresses I chose from their collection this spring. This is currently available in sizes 16 to 28 and is $118!

I love ALL the detail that has made its way into this dress, from the black piping at the base, to the black neck accent and ruffled bib, which is why it is on my list to snag ASAP. So feminine! It’ll set you back $149.95 and currently is available in sizes 14 through 28.

Eloquii is definitely the winner among brands for me this spring, which is why this is the third dress from them that made it’s way onto my radar for spring must-buys. The bird print is adorable yet chic, and this just screams comfort to me as well. At the moment you can grab it in a 14 through 28 for $89.95!

When I saw this dress I did a mini gasp. SO elegant and sexy, with a totally appropriate name. I’ve never tried City Chic before but this dress is on my list. You can grab it at Nordstrom for $189 for sizes 14 to 26! While it’s a bit less spring, it also comes in black and is on sale from City Chic directly for $100.

I almost didn’t include this dress from Julia Engel because it only makes its way up to a size 20, however I LOVE the color, texture and little feminine details. This dress feels so incredibly nostalgic to me; makes me want to fill a basket up with tasty things and go sit in a beautiful park somewhere under a willow tree… not that we have willow trees in Southern California, but you get the vision. The dress is currently selling for $168.

I really love the Loft aesthetic in general, but this jumpsuit looks like the perfect cozy and chic no brainer outfit to add to your closet this spring. It’s currently on sale for $35 down from $98 (!!!) and is available in sizes 16 through 26.

Skirts + Bottoms

I’m going to be honest, I didn’t love the first round of plus sized items recently launched by Anthropologie… nothing in the collection really grabbed me, except this chic little skirt, which I have to have. I’m a big fan of the black on white this Spring and love the versatility of this piece, which is priced at $98 and goes up to a 3X.

I told y’all: I love the pinstripes and white and black vibe this spring. These shorts are so versatile and classic, and are priced at $49 and available up to a size 26.

I feel like we’ve seen versions of this skirt a few places this season, including a similar-ish print from Premme, but this one is my fav because of the POCKETS and the button detail in front. Adorbs. Only available in sizes 12 and 22, which is sad, but if you love the print, check out Cara, which is a more elevated version by Premme.

I am a Pretty Little Thing convert, now owning a lot of pieces from them, and I’m obsessed with this skirt, which is en route to me from my late night spring splurge sesh. The tie detail sets this skirt apart and gives it a slightly retro feel, which I love. Super cute at $35 and available at the moment from sizes 12 to 22!

I love this skirt from ASOS, and love the versatility in the ability to dress this one up with heels or down with chucks/boots. It comes in sizes 14 to 24 and is currently $45 so snag it while it lasts!

Blouses

It may be $79.95 but it’s SO versatile and I love how this top looks paired with jeans. It also comes in a size 14 through 28 and is one of those tops that you can style over and over again all season long!

At a currently discounted $19 this is a steal and is en route to my house right now, which I’m beyond excited about. I love the top for what it is, but BooHoo also made matching skirts, a dress and a few other items from the same fabric, so def check it out if interested. Comes in sizes 12 through 24!
